Strategize.
Imagine we can build a fast robot that can manipulate the game elements exactly as we want. Set priorities for robot functions for this year’s games. Remember in IQ you’ll have a partner robot to cooperate with your robot. In VRC, you’ll have a partner robot as well as an alliance of two robots to compete against!
Design a New Game.
VEX offers online challenges for prizes and spots in the VEX Robotics World Championship. Come up with a new game to challenge others!
Build a Mechanism.
A four bar is a mechanism consisting of three links connected to a fourth “ground” link which is usually the robot. One motor can drive the mechanism to rock back and forth. A double-reverse four bar can be used to lift objects while keeping them level. Mock up a double-reverse four bar to see how they work.
Iterate.
The Speed Build was a good base for driving and pushing things around, but what about picking up objects?
